Tina Labellarte, CEO
 Tina Labellarte brings a wealth of experience to the chapter, which includes 26 years in fundraising and nonprofit management. She is no stranger to the American Red Cross and has served as executive director of the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross in Topeka. Tina has also worked as a member of the American National Red Cross staff, consulting with dozens of American Red Cross chapters in four states. She is a current member of the Disaster Reserves.
Tina lived in Grand Island, Neb., for 18 years where she held positions as executive director for the United Way, the YWCA and the Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau. She worked as planned and major gifts officer for the Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer and as community services director for Goodwill Industries.
Before coming to Omaha, Tina lived in Topeka, Kansas, where she was the president of Nonprofit Answer, a company she founded. A native of Chicago, she graduated with a degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb, Ill., and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska.
Tina received the Tiffany Award of Excellence in Management from the American National Red Cross in 2002 and was recognized with the Woman of the Year Award in 1993 by the Grand Island Daily Independent.
Kate Ellrich, HRG Community Services Director
Kate, Community Services Director, is a Social Work graduate of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA, an accredited school of Social Work. Kate worked for Nebraska Health and Human Services in Omaha for 19 years as an Income Maintenance Worker before joining the American Red Cross in 1999. Kate manages two utility assistance programs at the American Red Cross, providing assistance to customers throughout Nebraska who are having difficulty paying a utility bill. Kate also is the Client Casework Supervisor in the event of a local disaster and has also responded to three National Disasters in the capacity of client casework.
Claudine (Dena) Howard, Director of Service to Armed Forces Int’l Svs, Partner Services and Response Call Network
 Dena Howard came to Nebraska as the daughter of a military member. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, and spouse of an active duty military member, Doug Howard. She has been with the American Red Cross for 13 years, as a volunteer and paid staff member. She has been a national sector staff member as the Station Manager at Ellsworth Air Force Base, the Executive Director of the Big Country Regional Chapter, in Abilene, TX , and then part of the Heartland Chapter here in Omaha. She is a national American Red Cross Instructor and Instructor Trainer. Dena can facilitate training in Service to Armed Forces, Health & Safety CPR/AED Training, and Disaster Services Training and provide Continuing Disaster Education to our community. Dena served as the interim Emergency Services Director of the Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross during the 2005 hurricane season. She also served as the Military Support & International Services Director at Offutt Air Force Base, and continued to support the Emergency Services Department as coordinator of Red Cross Response Call Center as well as teaching Disaster Services courses. Currently she is the Director of Service to Armed Forces (SAF), Int’l Svs (IS), Partner Services (PS) and Response Call Network (RCN) of the Heartland Regional Chapter with oversight of all emergency services functions, Disaster Services, Service to Armed Forces, International Services, Pantry Services, Energy Assistance, Red Cross Response Call Center, Volunteer Services and the Dodge County Certified Service Delivery Unit.
Andrea Noon, HRG Financial Development Director
Andrea Noon returned to the Heartland Regional Grouping in May of 2010 as the Financial Development Director responsible for the fundraising activities of the regional group. She first joined the Red Cross in June of 2005 and focused on special events, grant writing and managing community fundraisers. Ms. Noon graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration – Marketing in 2002 and with a Masters Degree in Public Administration – Non-Profit Management in 2005. She is currently a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, is a former board member of All About Omaha and has volunteered with numerous other organizations over the past 10 years.
Don Tyson, HRG CoE Chief Finance Officer
Don Tyson is the Chief Finance Officer for the American Red Cross Heartland Chapter. He has been with American Red Cross since January 1985. Prior to the Red Cross Don has been employed by USF & G, Xerox, and First Data Inc. He is an army veteran (1971 -1972). Don graduated from UNO with a BS in Accounting & Finance; also, attended Creighton University for two years. Don is a member of Downtown Kiwanis and has lived in Omaha his entire life.
Suzane Winkler, PHR, HRG Chief People Officer
Suzane Winkler, PHR has spent the past 17 years developing human potential though Human Resources. As an International Human Resources Consultant, she has provided technical expertise to staff, managers and executives throughout the country and select locations in Europe. As an HR Generalist, Ms. Winkler has covered the areas of Employee Relations, Training and Development, Recruiting and Retention, Compensation and Benefits, and Safety. She has prepared management staff for litigation hearings and testified in court both as a defendant for the company and an expert witness. Ms. Winkler graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln program of Management Development and received her Professional in Human Resources certification in 1991. She is certified as a Competency Based Interviewer, Drug/Alcohol on-site collector and DDI - Interaction Management Master Trainer, the training system used by more Fortune 500 corporations than any other. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Managers, Human Resources Association of the Midlands, and the American Society of Training and Development.
John Young, HRG Response Director
John began his American Red Cross career in St. Louis, Missouri in January 2002, after a 29 year career as a high school teacher in St. Charles, Missouri. He began his Red Cross experience as the database manager for fundraising at the St. Louis Area Red Cross Chapter. He served in this capacity for five years, while being an active disaster volunteer for the St. Louis Chapter. It was during this period that he discovered his passion for disaster work, especially after serving in national disaster relief assignments in 2004 and 2005. In November 2006, John joined the Heartland Chapter in Omaha as their new Director of Emergency Services. John directs the Emergency Services Department, which includes disaster services.
