Runza® to Donate 10 Percent of Sales to Help Nebraska Flood Victims
OMAHA, Neb., July 09, 2010 – American Red Cross volunteers have provided hundreds of Nebraska families with shelter, food and emergency assistance following the recent flooding. Families across the state are now facing weeks of clean-up in the hot, summer days ahead. You can help families affected by flooding by dining at Runza® on Tuesday, July 13. The 67 Runza® locations in Central and Eastern Nebraska (Holdrege and east) will donate 10 percent of sales on Tuesday, July 13 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help those affected by disasters like the recent flooding.
In the wake of this recent disaster, the American Red Cross needs your help more than ever. The money donated by Runza® will help provide a warm meal, safe shelter, access to cleaning supplies, and other critical services to families affected by disaster like the recent flooding. Over the past two weeks, the Red Cross opened eight Red Cross shelters and comfort centers, served more than 12,000 meals and snacks and provided care and comfort to help Nebraska families begin their recovery. The Red Cross relies on the generous support and donations of local partners like Runza®, and individuals like you to provide help during times of disaster.

To support the Red Cross on July 13, guests may visit a participating Runza® location anytime throughout the day and dine inside or drive thru. Ten percent of all sales will be donated. In Omaha, guests may visit one of the following locations listed here online.
Help people affected by disasters like the recent flooding, by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
